Do these faces look familiar to you? These two physicians completed their Internal Medicine residency at Duke this past June and have now stepped into GIM faculty roles.
Azalea Kim, MD, MBA joins DGIM faculty and has many roles including Medical Director for Applied Health Data Science and Strategy for Duke Forge, Maestrocare Physician Champion for Health Data Science, and Co-Director for Innovation and Primary Care Physician at the Duke Outpatient Clinic. Dr. Kim received her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and her MBA from Harvard Business School. During her residency, she completed the 4-year combined Internal Medicine/Management Leadership Pathway at Duke Health.
Caroline Sloan, MD, is currently in her first year of her GIM Health Services Research and Development (HSR&D) Fellowship at the Durham VA. She now joins our faculty as a hospitalist and is also supervising residents on their general medicine service, both at the VA. She received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
