Yuval Patel, MD, a third-year fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology, has been awarded the Advanced/Transplant Hepatology Fellowship from the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
"Yuval has been especially productive in his research during fellowship, and he is so deserving of this recognition," wrote Andrew Muir, MD, chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, in an email.
The fellowship will support Dr. Patel's upcoming fellowship in transplant hepatology. Carl Berg, MD, professor of medicine (Gastroenterology) and director of the advanced transplant hepatology fellowship, is Patel's mentor.
