The Duke Institute for Health Innovation (DIHI) has announced the next emerging ideas and innovation funding cycle for demonstration pilots. The deadline for submitting applications is Nov. 7, 2016. Projects are expected to be funded with one-year budgets ranging from $25,000-$60,000.

Neurologist Allen Roses has died
Richard O'Brien, chair of the Department of Neurology, has alerted the Neurology faculty to the passing of Allen Roses, MD, Jefferson-Pilot Corporation Professor of Neurobiology, and a true giant of American Neurology. He built a powerhouse department, founded the field of neurogenetics and made, what is still today, the most important observation in the field of Alzheimer’s disease, the association of the disease with the APOE4 gene.
