What are your career goals?

My goal is to become a clinician educator and mentor for other aspiring nephrologists. I do have interests in glomerular disease and women’s health and hope to incorporate these focuses within my practice.

What were you looking for in a fellowship program?

I was looking for a strong academic program that was clinically diverse, balanced service responsibilities with didactics, offered career guidance and mentorship, and provided opportunities for clinical research.

Which Scholar pathway will you choose and why?

I chose the Clinical Concentration Pathway because I feel it is best suited for my career goals.

What are the strengths of the Duke program?

Some of the strengths of the program include the ability to individualize your own career path, the expertise of faculty, and the collegial environment.

What are your observations about the relationships between faculty and fellows?

There is an open and supportive relationship between faculty and fellows and the faculty is very open to fellow’s input

What advice would you give about moving to Durham?

Be sure to take a few days to explore the beautiful neighborhoods within Durham and surrounding cities. The current fellows are a great resource to help you find your footing in this city.
