The Duke Fellowship Training Program in Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine produces outstanding physicians who are fully prepared to pursue careers in academic medicine.

Our fellowship program is a three-year program with an optional fourth year for research.

We accept five new fellows each year.

Critical care medicine is an integral part of our fellowship training. At the end of the three-year training period, fellows are eligible for dual certification in pulmonary and critical care medicine. The American Board of Internal Medicine requires a total of 18 months of clinical training for board certification in both of these disciplines.

Learn more about the program and please visit our About Duke and Durham page to see all that our city has to offer. See our 48 hours in Durham list, which highlights some of our favorite things to do and places to visit in town.
