School selects additional Duke Health Scholars and Fellows
The Duke School of Medicine has selected additional faculty members for the Duke Health Scholars and Duke Health Fellows Program. Among the faculty honored are six individuals from the Department of Medicine.
Duke Hospitalists @ Hospital Medicine 2017
There were 4,500 registrants for this year's annual conference, "Hospital Medicine 2017," presented by the Society of Hospital Medicine. The presence of our DGIM hospitalists was evident via presentations, research abstracts, and leadership.

Staff Q&A: Duke Cardiology welcomes new division administrator, Nick Nguyen
This spring the Duke Department of Medicine welcomed its new division administrator, Nick Nguyen, MHA, into the division of cardiology. Nguyen is originally from Wilson, NC. Arts and Health at Duke, improving the patient and staff experience through the arts
Although subtle, the walls and halls of Duke University Hospital are full of creativity. When you walk through the corridors, there are art exhibits of bright, colorful landscapes and flowers, sounds of violins, saxophones, flutes and pianos as background music, and poems on the hospital’s walls for all to enjoy. The organization that coordinates these activities and displays is Arts and Health at Duke.
PWIM to host Clipp-Speers Visiting Professor Katrina Armstrong, MD, MSCE, on May 5
The Program for Women in Internal Medicine will host Katrina A. Armstrong, MD, MSCE, for the annual Clipp-Speers Visiting Professor Medicine Grand Rounds presentation on Fri., May 5, at 8 a.m. Armstrong will present "Coming to Peace with Uncertainty: Breast Cancer Screening and Prevention in 2017."
Registration is open for Write Winning NIH Grant Proposals workshop
Faculty registration now open for the School of Medicine's “Write Winning NIH Grant Proposals” workshop. The workshop will be held on Thur., July 20, 2017. Priority registration for faculty will be held until May 11.
