Poonam Sharma, MD, associate professor of medicine (General Internal Medicine), has been named the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education for the Department of Medicine effective July 1, 2021. 

The May 11, 2021 session of Duke Medicine LEADS featured Anthony Galanos, MD, presenting "Grief 101: What Words, What Actions - How to support those who grieve."

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the recipients of the first annual Neil L. Spector Art of Medicine Award, which recognizes exemplary mentorship practices in clinical and translational research.

Saumil Chudgar, MD, MS, was selected by the Duke University School of Medicine Class of 2021 as the recipient of the Thomas D. Kinney Award.
