Welcome the newest members of Duke General Internal Medicine!

Lara Kapp Hayes, MD, senior assistant resident in the Medicine residency training program, has been selected to serve as the Durham VA Medical Center Chief Resident for Quality and Safety (CRQS) for 2019-20.

Duke University will host the Precision Medicine World Conference 2018, Sept. 24-25 at the Washington Duke Inn. Discounted tickets are available for Duke attendees if purchased by July 5.

Duke Institute for Health Innovation (DIHI), along with other sponsors from Duke University Main Campus, Duke Health, and PDC, is organizing the 4th annual Duke Health Innovation Jam! This will be a shark tank-style event on Oct. 4, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Hall at Trent Semans. Applications are due Aug. 24 by 5 p.m.

Jenny Van Kirk, MD, is the 2018-19 chief resident for internal medicine at Duke University Hospital. Dr. Van Kirk is passionate about medical education. “It is something that I really enjoy, and I want it to be a part of my career forever,” she said.
