Save the date 12/1/16: Triangle Center for Evolutionary Medicine Sleep Symposium
The Triangle Center for Evolutionary Medicine will host "Awakening to the Significance of Sleep and Health Disparities: A Global Evolutionary Perspective," on Dec. 1, 2016 from 8:45 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center.

Mary Klotman, MD, chair of the Department of Medicine, and Laura Svetkey, MD, MHS, vice chair for faculty development and diversity, have announced the Medicine Endeavor to Nurture Trainees to Research Success (MENTORS) program participants for the 2016-2017 calendar year.

The Duke Institute for Health Innovation (DIHI) has announced the next emerging ideas and innovation funding cycle for demonstration pilots. The deadline for submitting applications is Nov. 7, 2016. Projects are expected to be funded with one-year budgets ranging from $25,000-$60,000.
10/11/16: Duke Pulmonary Research Conference Guest Speaker
Duke Pulmonary Research Conference will host Vincent Hascall, PhD, on Tues., Oct. 11 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in MSRB-1. Dr. Hascall will present "Dividing Cells Do Not Like Hyperglycemia."
