The MedicineNews blog continues to be the primary way that we feature the activities and accomplishments of the faculty, trainees and staff of the Duke Department of Medicine.

Funding opp: Duke AHEAD and Duke IPEC education funding
Duke AHEAD and the Duke Health Center for Interprofessional Education and Care (IPEC) are pleased to join forces to offer project funding for innovative new curricula aimed at students from two or more professions to learn “about, from, and with” each other. Letters of intent are due Dec. 20. Full proposals are due Feb. 10, 2020.

Going the Distance
After spending 10 weeks at Duke, three Summer Scholars, Ednan Ochieng, Alexandria Scott and Kennedy Lofton, presented their research to the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) in Anaheim, California, November 13 – 16.
