Duke Institute for Brain Science (DIBS) will host the "Exercise and the Brain" symposium from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 1 in the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center.

Duke Infectious Diseases celebrates 40 years of history and growth as a division
On Oct. 20-21 at Hanes House, Duke Department of Medicine celebrated the Division of Infectious Disease’s 40th anniversary in a symposium that reviewed Duke Infectious Diseases’ infancy, years of research, and the division’s contributors over the years. The division was established in 1977 with David Durack, MD, MBBS as the first division chief for Infectious Diseases.
Casarett and Kamal recognized as 'Visionaries in Hospice and Palliative Medicine'
David Casarett, MD, section chief of Palliative Care, and Arif Kamal, MD, MHS, MBA, associate professor of medicine (Medical Oncology), are among 30 individuals who have been recognized by the American Academcy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine as "Visionaries in Hospice and Palliative Medicine."
