Support Fellows

Two fellowship funds have been established to honor Drs. Nancy Bates Allen, David S. Caldwell, and John (Rus) Rice and their dedication to training the next generation of rheumatologists.

The Nancy Bates Allen, MD, Fellowship Fund supports research, participation in scientific meetings, and other supplemental training for current Duke Rheumatology fellows.

The David S. Caldwell, MD, and John (Rus) Rice, MD, Clinical Rheumatology Scholarship Endowment contributes to the salary of one senior clinical fellow each year who exemplifies the essentials of rheumatology practice: care, concern, compassion, knowledge, honesty, integrity, humility, and, above all, advocacy for the patient.

The Duke Onco-Rheumatology Fund supports patient care and research at the intersection of cancer treatment and rheumatic disorders.
