We are pleased to announce two faculty promotions to Assistant Professor in the division of general internal medicine, effective February 1, 2018:

Dr. David Matchar, MD will be traveling back from Duke-NUS in Singapore and will be presenting at a special SYNERGY Population Health Improvement Seminar on February 7.

Anthony Sung, MD, assistant professor of medicine (Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapy), and Lawrence David, PhD, assistant professor of molecular genetics and microbiology, have received a 2018 Damon Runyon-Rachleff Innovation Award from the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.

The Department of Medicine will present another staging of Voices of Medicine, a live show featuring true stories from our faculty, trainees, and staff, on February 28, 2018.

Larry Greenblatt, MD, professor of medicine (General Internal Medicine) and community and family medicine, Medical Director of Northern Piedmont Community Care, and part of the Population Health Management Office, is Duke Today's Blue Devil of the Week.

Susan Spratt, MD, associate professor of medicine (Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition), is the winner of Duke University Hospital's 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Caregiver Award.
