The European Society for Patient Adherence, COMpliance, and Persistence (ESPACOMP) held their 20th annual meeting in Lisbon, Portugal on November 17-19.  Leah Zullig, PhD, and Hayden Boswoth, PhD, were each in attendance and contributed to the event!

American Heart Association Meeting

David Pisetsky, MD, PhD, professor of medicine (Rheumatology and Immunology), was awarded the Presidential Gold Medal by the American College of Rheumatology.

Faculty and trainees from the Division of Nephrology are preparing to participate and lead nearly 50 sessions in the American Society of Nephrology's Kidney Week 2016 in Chicago from Nov. 17-20.

In October 2016, Allison Bolton, MD, became a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine. She is a clinician-educator and Hospitalist at Duke University Hospital.

The School of Medicine Office for Faculty Development is now accepting applications for the ALICE program – a leadership development program for mid-career women faculty in the School of Medicine. The program aims to address the widely recognized gap in the number of women in senior leadership positions in academic medicine by providing a tailored leadership development opportunity for women. Application deadline is Dec. 1, 2016.
