Duke launches Doing Good In the Neighborhood Emergency Relief Fund
In the wake of Hurricane Florence, Duke University has launched the Duke Doing Good in the Neighborhood Emergency Relief Fund to collect donations for the immediate disaster relief work.
The fund will support the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and long-term disaster recovery efforts such as cleaning, repairing and rebuilding homes.

Summer springs into fall opportunity
Sophomore Naeema Hopkins-Kotb started building her foundation in the 2018 Summer Scholars Program in Genome Sciences and Medicine, Now, she is continuing the research she began in the Summer Scholars Program through an independent study with mentor Dr. Beth Sullivan, associate professor of molecular genetics and microbiology.

The School of Medicine will offer two sessions on the Appointments, Promotion and Tenure process on Wed., Oct. 17 from 12:30-3 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center. This presentation is part of New Faculty Orientation, though all clinical junior faculty, regardless of whether they are new, are invited to attend.
