The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) announced today that Neelima Navuluri, MD, MPH, has been selected to receive a 2021 NCCN Foundation Young Investigator Award — an award that “fosters emerging talent and explores promising areas for study.”

Congratulations to Lori Orlando, MD, who received a distinguished academic promotion in the division of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Orlando was promoted to Full Professor, effective April 1, 2021. Since joining Duke faculty in 2004, she has served a number of critical roles as a faculty member at Duke that integrate her clinical, research and academic interests.

Stephen Greene, MD, and Julia Xu, MD, MSc-GH, have received 2021 Chair's Research Awards from the Department of Medicine.

The April 13, 2021 session of Duke Medicine LEADS featured a discussion led by Kim Darlington, MD, PhD; Vinay Choksi, MD; and Neha Kayastha, MD, "Oh, Rats! Another Case of Encephalopathy"

Panelist included, Eileen Maziarz, MD; Matthew Luedke, MD, FACNS; and Xunrong Luo, MD, PhD, who weighed in for the diagnostic reasoning discussion.
