Duke Health leaders have selected 10 high-potential innovation projects to be implemented as part of the Duke Institute for Health Innovation (DIHI)’s annual call for project ideas in the areas of novel strategies to improve value of care delivery, advance health equity, amplify digital solutions for care and monitoring, strengthen provider and staff experience and well-being and enhance patient engagement and experience.

Of the 10 projects selected, 7 are being led or include faculty and trainees from the Department of Medicine.

We are pleased to announce that Jennifer Rymer, MD, MBA, MHS, FAHA, FACC, assistant professor of medicine (Cardiology), has been selected as the next Trainee Liaison for the Program for Women in Internal Medicine (PWIM) in the Department of Medicine.

Congratulations to the faculty from the Department of Medicine who were selected as winners of the inaugural 2021 DCRI/DIHI Innovation Campfire season. 

The March 23, 2021 session of Duke Medicine LEADS featured Stephen Telloni, MD, and Noppon Setji, MD, presenting, "Where There's Smoke, Is There Fire? Two Systems-Based Approaches to Identifying Safety Issues and Improving Quality of Care at Duke."

The Program for Women in Internal Medicine (PWIM) will host Vineet Arora, MD, MAPP, for the annual Clipp-Speer Women in Medicine Visiting Professor Medicine Grand Rounds presentation on Fri., April 16, at 12 p.m. over Zoom.

Cecelia Zhang, MD, medical instructor (Gastroenterology), has been selected to participate in the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy's (ASGE) Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Program for diverse women in gastroenterology.
