Pearls from 2/16/21 Medicine LEADS

The Feb. 16, 2021 session of Duke Medicine LEADS featured a discussion led by Yolanda Guzman, MDMatthew Harbrecht, MD; and Jonathan Komisar, MD, "71-year-old male with dizziness, nausea, and difficulty walking."

Expert consultants included, Christopher Eckstein, MDThomas Holland, MD; and Neal Ready, MD, PhD, who weighed in for the diagnostic reasoning and discussion.

Call for applications: Duke UNC-Chapel Hill Immunotherapy Training Grant

The Duke UNC-Chapel Hill Immunotherapy Training Grant (DUNC-IMTG) is accepting applications for the 2020-2021 admission cycle. DUNC-IMTG is a combined training program from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University that will focus on training individuals in translational and/or clinical research focusing on tumor immunology and cellular immunotherapy. Applications are due June 15, 2020.

Kathleen Cooney, MD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine, Manesh Patel, MD, chief of the Division of Cardiology, and Vance Fowler, MD, MHS, are among 12 faculty who have been recognized with Distinguished Professorships from the School of Medicine in 2020.
