Research

At the Duke Asthma, Allergy and Airway Center, we offer our patients the opportunity to participate in clinical research trials or studies. Each year hundreds of people volunteer to participate in clinical trials research.

Volunteer Research Participation

The role of study volunteers in clinical research is crucial to the advancement of medicine. Without volunteer participation, new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases cannot be achieved.

If they qualify, some are offered payment while others are able to obtain free health care and treatment. Our studies are aimed at improving our knowledge of diseases and discovering and delivering better more effective treatments to our patients.

If you have one of the diseases for which a trial is ongoing at the center, you may be interested in enrolling in a trial or in learning more about the trial.

Please see our Active Clinical Trials for additional information about research studies that are currently available to eligible participants.
