David Zaas, MD, MBA, assistant professor of medicine (Pulmonary, Allergy & Critical Care Medicine) and vice chair for clinical practice, has taken on the role of chief medical officer of the Private Diagnostic Clinic.

Registration is now open for the 1st Annual Lung Transplant Foundation Golf Tournament that will take place June 5, 2011 at the Duke University Golf Club. This is a Captains Choice event where handicaps will also be assigned by the Duke University Golf pros.

Hockey player Andrew Desjardins has posted this movie about surviving cystic fibrosis and the double lung and liver transplant he received at Duke. David Zaas, MD, assistant professor of medicine (Pulmonary) and medical director of lung transplantation, is also featured.
