Peyser Traveling to Australia to Discuss Longitudinal Teaching
Bruce Peyser, MD, is traveling to Alice Springs, Australia, this week to attend the Global Community Engaged Medical Education Muster. While at the meeting, Dr. Peyser will lead a series of three discussions on longitudinal teaching.

AHA Offering $150,000 Mentored Clinical And Population Research Awards
The American Heart Association’s National Mentored Clinical and Population Research Award will offer up to $150,000 over two years for research related to cardiovascular disease and stroke prevention or treatment, or to related clinical and public health problems, including multidisciplinary efforts. Applications are due by January 1, 2015.

NIH Funding Research in Acute Kidney Injury in Older Adults
The National Institutes of Health invite grant applications proposing basic, clinical, translational or outcomes research on acute kidney injury (AKI) in older adults. Applications may focus on the epidemiology, etiology and risk factors of AKI; pathophysiology of AKI and its impact on disease; early detection, diagnosis and monitoring; or prevention, treatment and management strategies.
NIH Offering Palliative Care Grants
The National Institutes of Health have offered a funding opportunity announcement for grant applications focusing on palliative care in geriatric populations.
