2017 DGIM Holiday Celebration
The Duke Division of General Internal Medicine celebrated the holiday season this past Thursday, December 7, at the beautiful Cotton Room in the Golden Belt District of Downtown Durham. The room looked like a winter wonderland, complete with snow-dusted evergreen trees and a cozy fireplace. This annual celebration is a wonderful way to mingle with other faculty and staff members in the division in a relaxed setting complete with delicious food, desserts and drinks.

DGIM wins Duke GME High Value QI Competition
The 2017 Duke GME High Value Care Quality Improvement Competition recently presented a $3000 award to DGIM for a new effort: “Improving the Value of Resident-Provided Primary Care through Population Health Tools: A Quality Improvement Project".
Merson honored with 2017 Distinguished Faculty Award
Michael Merson, MD, Professor of Medicine and member of the Division of General Internal Medicine, received one of the six distinguished alumni awards from the Duke Medical Alumni Association during Medical Alumni Weekend in November.

Eight from Medicine selected for Duke Clinical Leadership Program
Duke Health has announced a new class of the Duke Clinical Leadership Program (DCLP), including eight faculty from the Department of Medicine. The 26 clinicians in the 2018 class will join the ranks of the 169 fellows who completed the DCLP program during its first seven years.
