Another academic year is coming to end, which means it's time to recognize individuals who have exemplified excellence in teaching during the year.  Three teaching awards were given out and we are proud to announce the recipients are all GIM faculty members! 

On June 12, Forbes Pharma & Healthcare published an op-ed by DGIM's Dr. Hayden Bosworth entitled, "Why Medication Adherence Needs To Be A National Priority".

DGIM's own Leah Zullig, PhD, was featured on the cover for a recent paper she wrote on the need for inclusion of minorities and other traditionally underrepresented groups in cancer clinical trials.

Joel Boggan, MD, has accepted the position of Associate Program Director in the Duke Internal Medicine Residency Program, which will begin on July 1.

We are proud to announce Courtney Van Houtven, PhD, has been promoted to Full Professor!

This past January Juan Marcos Gonzalez, PhD, joined the Duke Division of General Internal Medicine and the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI).
