The weight of dying at home: Gray's Op-Ed in LA Times

In Duke General Internal Medicine, we like to refer to Nathan Gray, MD, as the doodling doctor. Dr. Gray is a phenomenal Palliative Care physician who also has gained a reputation drawing comics on medical topics. His work has even been published in several medical journals and online platforms. 

Lantos appointed Associate Research Professor of Global Health

GIM Associate Professor of Medicine, Paul Lantos, MD, was recently appointed Associate Research Professor of Global Health, which is a secondary faculty appointment in the Duke Global Health Institute.

"I have been an affiliate [of the institute] for several years, but it is quite an honor to have been advanced to faculty," says Lantos.

Duke General Internal Medicine hosted its annual "Meet & Greet" breakfast prior to Medicine Grand Rounds on Friday, January 31. Dr. Bae promoted to Associate Professor

Congratulations to Jonathan Bae, MD, who is receiving a distinguished academic promotion in the division of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Bae is being promoted to Associate Professor, effective February 1, 2020. He is an award-winning clinician-educator and leader for patient safety and quality for the institution.
