DGIM hosted its second annual faculty/resident "Meet & Greet" breakfast prior to Medicine Grand Rounds on Friday, May 11.

Four Department of Medicine faculty were recognized with awards at the School of Medicine's annual Spring Faculty Meeting on May 9. 

Excellence in Professionalism Award

Cara O'Brien, MD, GIM Assistant Professor of Medicine, was selected by a distinguished faculty committee as a recipient of the 2018 Excellence in Professionalism Award by the Duke office for faculty development.

The Department of Medicine Book Club will host a discussion of What Patients Say, What Doctors Hear, by Danielle Ofri, MD, on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. All faculty and trainees in the Department are invited to participate, and the event will be open to other providers and students across the Duke University Medical Center.

Jason Webb, MD, GIM Assistant Professor of Medicine and Palliative Care Specialist, was honored this week by Duke University Hospital with a Strength, Hope and Caring Physician Award.

Colleagues, friends, and family gathered at Frankie's Fun Park in Raleigh on April 29th for a retirement celebration commemorating DRH hopitalist, Dr. Dennis College.
