The first annual Snyderman Scholars Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine Summer Program for undergraduates is now underway. The program runs form May 21 – July 25 and gives undergraduates the opportunity to participate in a faculty-mentored research project in applied genomics and precision medicine.

CAGPM has partnered with the Duke Center for Genomic and Computational Biology (GCB) and North Carolina Central University (NCCU) for the Summer Scholar’s Program in Genome Sciences and Medicine for Underrepresented Minority Underclassmen.

Drs. Zipkin and Cho led ACLT residents to Washington, D.C.for an advocacy day to discuss drug pricing reform, opioid safety, and health policy.

Excellence in Professionalism Award

Cara O'Brien, MD, GIM Assistant Professor of Medicine, was selected by a distinguished faculty committee as a recipient of the 2018 Excellence in Professionalism Award by the Duke office for faculty development.

The Department of Medicine Book Club will host a discussion of What Patients Say, What Doctors Hear, by Danielle Ofri, MD, on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. All faculty and trainees in the Department are invited to participate, and the event will be open to other providers and students across the Duke University Medical Center.
