Curtis to direct new SoM Center for Population Health Sciences
Nancy C. Andrews, MD, PhD, dean of the Duke University School of Medicine, today announced the launch of the new Center for Population Health Sciences in the School of Medicine. The center will be led by Lesley Curtis, PhD, professor of medicine (General Internal Medicine).

Edelman’s Trip to Kenya: Efficacy of Group Medical Clinics for Diabetes and Hypertension
This blog article comes from David Edelman, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine here at Duke. He recently returned from a week-long trip to Kenya as part of a grant on which he is an investigator. The grant (with key investigators from Mount Sinai, Moi University School of Medicine in Eldoret, Kenya, and Duke) is a randomized trial that aims to study the efficacy of group medical clinics for diabetes and hypertension in western Kenya.
