The Duke Cardiovascular Research Center offers three Undergraduate Research Experience opportunities for undergraduates to participate in a cardiovascular research-oriented educational enrichment program.
Application Information
These programs are supported by multiple partners, including the Edna and Fred L. Mandel Jr. Foundation (Cardiovascular Undergraduate Research Experiences) and the American Heart Association (CVRC Supporting Undergraduate Research Experiences and Center for Precision Health and the Sarnoff Foundation Supporting Undergraduate Research Experiences). Duke faculty members with active research in cardiology will serve as faculty mentors for the program. Undergraduates selected to participate will conduct hands-on research. This 10-week summer program is in-person only at Duke University.
- Eligible applicants may be pursuing a degree in any field but must have expressed an interest in a healthcare-related field.
- Must be a full-time undergraduate, a rising sophomore, junior or senior.
- Candidates must have exemplary academic performance.
- Candidate may be from Duke or from other institutions.
- Candidates who meet the AHA SURE general eligibility requirements are also encouraged to apply.
