Three from Cardiology named to new Duke Health Scholars and Duke Health Fellows program

This inaugural program was created with a transfer of funds from the Duke University Health System. Its aim is to support the research efforts and enhance the academic success of early to mid-career clinician-scientists in School of Medicine clinical departments.

Congratulations to the Department of Medicine's Duke Health Scholars and Fellows

Fourteen faculty from the Department of Medicine were chosen as Duke Health Scholars and Duke Health Fellows. This inaugural program was created with a transfer of funds from the Duke University Health System. Its aim is to support the research efforts and enhance the academic success of early to mid-career clinician-scientists in School of Medicine clinical departments.

Califf named to the National Academy of Medicine

Robert Califf, MD, is one of three members of the Duke University School of Medicine faculty to be named to the prestigious National Academy of Medicine, an independent advisory organization made up of leading professionals in health, medicine and the natural, social, and behavioral sciences.

Kevin Thomas featured in 'Black Men in White Coats' video series

Kevin Thomas, MD, associate professor of medicine (Cardiology), is featured in the video series "Black Men in White Coats." The aim of the video series is to inspire more underrepresented minority students to consider the field of medicine by showing them stories of others who have done so successfully.
